Reclaimed Roof Tiles

These unique reclaimed Coppi (tiles in Italian) add a unique sense of authenticity to your Tuscan Mediterranan dream house. They may vary in color, texture and patina according to the Region, to the age, to the exposure and according to the clay or firing techniques. Most roofing methods in Italy are based upon the traditional Cap and Barrel (Coppo su coppo) setting. Indicative minimum quantity: 240 tiles/R.S.
Tuscany and only a few other Central Italian regions (such as Rome and some Umbrian Villages) use a beautiful and unusual setting which is a called Cap and Roman/Tuscan Flat ("Tetto alla Romana" o "Tetto alla Toscana" – in Italy called tetto Coppo and Embrice - the Embrice being the large flat tile with raised edges). The Cap and Roman Flat roof is a smart and ancient technique as it allows the roof to be easily walked on.
